Yep another OC, only this time she is based of the TV series X-men Evolution, I can't help it, I love drawing them!

Powers and Abilities

Being conceived from two mutants, Rose’s powers are considered to be that of a Gamma-Level mutant, and as a result they developed much earlier on in life than that of any other. This enlightens most that the progression of some mutant’s powers could actually occur before puberty.

The first display however, was when her mother suddenly transported herself out of danger, whilst she was pregnant. Since then her abilities have manifested from her preschool years.

Teleportation: Though she has the ability to teleport, like her father. Using it repeatedly, drains a lot of her energy, leaving her exhausted and weak. Instead she only uses this particular power for dire emergencies.

Phasing/Merging/Will Bending: Rose’s primary mutant power is a technique which lets her move along and inside shadows, as well as having control over them. This also allows her to manipulate another person’s body by fusing with their silhouette, effectively giving her control over her target's actions. Consequently, this can lead to her killing them if she were to attack the individual’s shadow(s). In her younger years she would create a number of imaginary friends, by using the shades around her and playing with them.

Evoking: This extra ability occurs when Rose, is more or less in an enraged or emotional state, causing her to inadvertently conjure a multitude of dark spirits. But while she is dormant this particular power seems to grow fiercer.

Regenerative Healing Factor: The healing process allows her to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue, within a day or so. Unlike her mother and Grandfather (Miyo & Wolverine) the full extent and speed of Rose’s healing process is limited, however she has been shown to fully heal from, severe burns and gashes covering most of her body. This appears to be the only ability she has inherited from her mother’s side.

Acrobatic skills: Attending gymnastics from a young age, Rose is a skilled acrobat. She able to motion her body, agility and balance to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.

Flexible Bone Structure: Rose’s bone structure allows her great flexibility. Though she is able to walk like any normal person, she can remain in a crouched position for a long time and perform contortionist type movements without causing any damage to her spine.

Martial Artist Combatant: Due to her mother and grandfather having extensive training in mastering various martial arts, though essentially more Japanese style. Rose is highly trained in the field, and grew to be a formidable opponent in hand-to-hand combat.

Micro-Suction Discs: She can stick to objects with the surface of her hands and feet; this enables her to scale surfaces.

Bio

Rose is a very bright and upbeat teenager, who is a student residing at the Xavier Institute, and goes by the vigilante name ‘Eclipse’. She is the eldest child, and daughter of the mutants ‘Miyo’ and ‘Nightcrawler’ and granddaughter of ‘Wolverine’.  Now and then, she uses a holographic inducer shaped like a bracelet to look human while attending school, making her appear as a normal teen.

However when she’s hanging around the institute or her fellow mutants, she’s more than happy to walk around in her true form.

She was conceived when the X-men students traveled to her mother’s home town in Japan for a vacation, shortly after her father had ended his relationship with his non-mutant classmate Amanda Sefton. The discovery of her mother’s pregnancy stunned everyone. But this also drew countless attention from their enemies; due to the fact that ‘Destiny’ received a prediction of just how powerful, yet dangerous, the unborn child might be. Leading ‘Magneto’ as well as others, to try and abduct both mother and child and use them to their advantage.

Growing up with abilities that are somewhat dark and unnatural, Rose found herself in fear of them, as she experienced a frightening incident during her childhood. In time it was clear that a minority of her gifts were somewhat tied to her emotions and in an effort to control them (whilst still being able to express herself) she received daily training with Professor Xavier and her fellow X-men. Total suppression of her emotions however (mostly fear or anger) can result in her powers subconsciously being exposed. Therefore, she is always cautious about using them when on missions.

Personality

Although she seems the type to isolate and not socialize with others (due to her appearance) Rose is a very upbeat and energetic teenage girl. However her behaviour can sometimes resemble something of a free spirit or child-like persona. Between playing pranks and telling jokes, she is a grade A student, giving her own advice to the others, even when they don’t ask for it. She often teases those that have a stern regime, seeing them as tedious and ignorant (mainly her grandfather.)

She can always come up with a witty remark, specifically in reply to most of her enemies’ monologue’s or poor attempts at humor. When it comes to being a heroine, she portrays herself as a mature yet lively member of the group, in addition to staying cool and calm in desperate situations.

She has a close friendship with most of her fellow mutants at the institute, considering them as her, many, aunts and uncles whilst growing up. Though she has also been known to display a close attachment with her grandfather ‘Wolverine’ partially due to the fact that he is her guardian, and the closest living relative she has (as Kurt’s parents live in Germany.)

Still as much as she is happy, Rose can also be the most covert of the X-men, she hardly allows anybody into her room, and spends most of her time outside, studying, training and various other tasks or hobbies. She was also raised to never to be ashamed of her appearance, yet she still faced some harassment from other children and their mothers, whenever they came across her mutant form. Often referring her to a monster or demon, so there are times when she can’t shake the feeling of how people would treat her because of her mutation.
